A Tank Is Empty Today

Goldy - Picture Taken Oct. 8th, 2012.

This picture was taken on October 10, 2010.

It’s with great sadness that I post this. I awoke this morning to a seemingly normal Monday but was met by a very, to my eyes, tragic sight. My goldfish, whom I nicknamed Goldy, was in his tank, dead. He’s been with me for around 4-5 years and had been a great pet. He was lifelessly just sitting there. I have another tank but Goldy has his own tank. A smaller one, though, since he’s the only one there. I have only one small decoration, as you can see in the above picture, but he had gotten to be pretty big. After examining him, it seems that he died from an injury, most likely because he hit himself against the tank. This is something he had been doing for some time.  I guess it finally got to the point of him hitting himself hard enough. I have various pictures of Goldy in my old make-shift studio. The picture above is one of them. I’m deeply saddened as he has been with me for such a long time, through good times and bad. He’s not a dog, nor a cat, but still a dearly beloved pet. On a more comical note, he has appeared on my recordings. Most notably, in this one. I’m still finishing working on the album which this will appear in; Cartridge Dust.

I leave with that as I don’t know how to properly close this sad post about the loss of a dear friend.
